11/27/17 Les Quiero

Hola Todos,

Well boys and girls we are down to only three more weeks... yes maybe Im counting. Im happy, sad, nervous, scared, excited, etc. Those of you who have gone on missions can relate. I have people I love in both countries and cant stay in both places. My heart is already starting to be ripped apart. All the memories go through my mind everynight and everyone tells me Im going home in no time. Kinda makes you freak out sometimes haha.

Last week I told yall about my neighbor and how we watched her baby girl. We looked in the records of the church and her records dont exist. Sad but now I know why I had to do what I did. Why I felt the need to answer my door at 7 in the morning and start to watch a baby girl. Our neighbor Sister Fernanda already got all Sundays off from work and is coming to church this following Sunday!!! So many miracles and I love to see the hand of God work in our lives.

We were able to play golf this last week and with our investigator. His name is Carlos and he knows the brother of my convert in Comodoro where I was last year. We played in over 30 mph winds!!!! Elder Stauffer hit a shot that was blown backwards!!! haha negative 10 yard 8 iron hahahahahaha it was still really reallly fun! They let us play for free and gave us clubs for free too! Argentines are sometimes really nice. haha

Well I know that Im teaching the true Gospel of Christ. He lives and loves us. We can change and repent through His Atonement. I know its true and powerful and one day Ill really understand the Atonement. I feel like I understand more through the experiences and choices here in my mission. I invite you to take the time to have a self chat. Look at who you are and put goals. Its something I have been doing and I promise it helps to calm down and feel like you have a plan that is according to the commandments of our Father in Heaven! Read the Book of Mormon! I know its true! Les quiero mucho.

11/20/17 PENGUINS:)

Hola Todos,

First off today was an amazing day. We went to see PENGUINS!!!!!! My convert Mariano took us and Ill send some pics. I went with three of my best friends in the mission. Elder Stauffer, Elder Febbo, and Elder Oviatt. Sure do love those guys.

This last week was pretty different. With everything that is going on in the mission and in mine, Im just happy with the progress im continually making. Our neighbor last week asked us if we could babysit her two year old child. Because I felt the spirit I said yes and we started to watch Naomi every morning from 7 to 3 in the afternoon. Our neighbor Fernanda ended up feeling the spirit, and it reminded her of something she felt a long while back... you can imagine. She recognized a feeling from when she was a orphan in the northern part of the country. The Elders would sneak in to what was a Catholic orphanage and teach the kids. She would go to church with them secretly and then the owners found out and they  shut down that saving operation. So turns out she was baptized or that's what she remembers. It would make sense and took two crazy missionaries who one would want to watch her baby, two to ask their leaders for permission, and three to do it for a week to help put that feeling in her life again.haha so that's my miracle for the week.

Because we spent almost all of our time watching our new friend naomi we didnt have too much time to find, teach, and baptize. We however are progressing with Juan and Jorge. Juan is loving everything about the church. One problem he is not married and his wife doesnt have to much of a desire to change that. So we are trying to have a lot of patience and keep working with every member in the family. Funny story, Juan gave a bottle of wine as a gift. He wouldnt let us not accept it so we are going to cook an amazing Thanksgiving dish cooking with Argentine wine. Jorge comes to church every sunday. Problem is that we cant find him during the week. So pray that we find him and he wants to get baptized. His wife has been a member for two years now. Hopefully her prayers will be answered as well.

Well, Im only a month out of finishing my mission. Not trunky.... or maybe a little. I have been looking back at my mission. All the fun, hard, spiritual, sad, happy, and basically every emotion you can think of experiences. Im happy and proud of what I have done. Have I been perfect? no! My message today is just that. We dont have to be perfect. Christ and our Heavenly Father ask that we put in OUR 100%. Thats different for everyone. Yours, mine, and the man on the side of the road, we all have different lives. Only Christ understands exactly who we are and what we are going through. Do you best! I promise as you try, you just have to try, our Father in Heaven will bless you. He will put light into your life. Change you, mold you, and make you the son or daughter of God He needs you to be. Sometimes His plan is different than ours. Be patient. Love others and remember that you have an eternal potential. Les Quiero mucho.

Forgot to mention. We found golf here in Rio Gallegos. We looked it up in Google and found a FaceBook page. Then we texted a member and she sent a message through facebook. They responded and we found out they have a indoor facility to practice. crappy mats and balls and clubs but soooo worth it cause they let us pracitce for free.

After I hit a few shots they asked if I play a lot. said yes and then they invited me to play in a tournament... hahah they also offered to take us to the course for free everything!!! miracles baby hahaha

They also know the brother of my convert in Comodoro where I played golf last year. The golfing life is small here. hahaha loving it!

11/6/17 He Lives:)

Hola Todos,

Another week in the books and we are heading into my life transfer. Time is cruising on by and I am happy with the progress Ive made in these last few months. Elder Aviles is leaving to Perito Moreno and I am going to be getting a new companion. His name is Elder Alegre and we both go home after this transfer. Not to sure how we both feel about the news but we are going to try our hardest to stay working till the last moment. He is from Argentina so it will be fun to just enjoy my last six argentine weeks. Change is always good and hard. I will miss Elder Aviles. He helped me a lot and made life pretty chill.

With my mission slowly coming to an end it has made me think a little bit. A lot of thoughts have gone to our Savior Jesus Christ. Throughout my mission I feel like I have learned threw good and bad moments how much He loves me. How much He knows what I need and what others need. Even though sometimes its hard to see or feel or want to I know He has a plan for me. Because of that I have been able to change and go through the things I needed to be the man He needs when I get home.

I know that He lives. He love you. All He did was for each and everyone of us. Without His Atonement we couldnt progress. The first time we sin we would never be able to feel better, repent, and change. However with Christs Atonement we able to conquer all, even death. Think about that! Come unto Christ and let Him take away your pain. I know He will because He has changed me. I can feel it and thats why Im here sharing His gospel.

Les Quiero mucho,
